The coal pulverizer ducting is about as tough an environment as they come, with occasional fires and explosions. The original OEM metal bellows (a B&W style shown) is 'bullet proof' and holds up the best in this application. After-market expansion joints, such as fabric belting will not hold up should a fire occur within the ducting.
